My buddy Torey Philipp told me all about the amazing wildflowers and vistas in this Northern California gem, so we had to hike in and go check it out. Wow! I’ve never seen so many amazing wildflowers in one place. Our goal was to make it to the lake by sunset so we started a little later in the day. That meant most of the people there were on their way out and this left us with a remarkable view of Round Top reflecting in Winnemucca all to ourselves. The best way to explore!
